Project description

Economics Education Program (EEP) intends to teach intermediate-level Economics in 3 months and it has now opened up to Batch II. The main subjects to be studied will be Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Statistics and Econometrics, Development Economics (only in 1st Batch), Public Finance, and Fiscal Federalism, Behaviour Economics (only in 1st Batch), and Economic History of Myanmar.

This program is divided into two parts. In the first part, trainers give lectures, make discussions with the students and deliver a weekly assignment about their related subjects within 8 training weeks. The total lecture and discussion hours for a student are 10 hours per week on average. Moreover, students are also needed to sit in the final test exam to be able to continue to the next part. The students must pass at least four out of five subjects to continue their training in the program. If the students do not pass according to program evaluation rules, they cannot be in the next part.

Students who can pass the first step and are chosen to be involved in the second part of the program will have the opportunity to write an analytical article focused on their preferable subject among the subjects which they learnt in the first step. The student will receive EEP’s training completion certificate after the article is approved by the EEP responsible team.
